All those who have objected to the implication that Madoff’s being a Jew had anything to do with his criminal behavior were correct. There are scores of unscrupulous investors in the United States and around the world, and corruption is an equal-opportunity employer. But why, then, cannot precisely the same logical argument be applied to “Muslim terrorists”? Did Madoff do what he did because he was a Jew or because he was a swindler? Obviously the latter.
