A garden of claims, not a stream of posts: 129,563 ideas pulled from 572 books, arranged by what they have to say to each other rather than when they were read. 238,846 connections link them — a small, deliberate fraction confirmed by hand, the rest surfaced by a reading pipeline and still provisional. Every claim, source, and passage in the vault is here — nothing curated out.

Passages

Maturity Levels

Seedling

A claim with one thin piece of evidence and no connections to anything else yet. Barely started.

Sapling

A claim that’s grown a few connections, or built up more than a couple pieces of evidence. Developing, not yet settled.

Tree

A claim that’s richly corroborated and densely connected — the kind of idea the whole garden keeps returning to. As mature as a claim gets here.

Withered

A claim nobody has connected to anything yet, sitting alone with almost nothing behind it. Not wrong — just untouched.

Stone

The 572 books themselves. The bedrock everything else grows from; growth doesn’t apply to them the way it does to a claim.

Signpost

Maps of content — book arguments and theme essays. They don’t hold ideas themselves, they point at where the ideas are.

Chest

The rare claim tagged as genuinely delightful, quotable, worth remembering on its own — not for its connections, but for how it’s put.

Policy

The same basic rules apply anywhere a claim graph gets discussed:

  1. Argue with the claim, not the person.
  2. A citation beats a vibe — if a claim is wrong, the fastest way to prove it is to point at what it’s supposed to be evidence for.
  3. Contradiction is data here, not an insult — a claim marked as contradicting another is a real, tracked relationship in this graph, not a failure state.
