Subscales of one construct correlate most strongly with each other

Evidence

Because the two subscales of the IS tap dimensions of the same “Islamophobia” construct, the correlation between the subscales of the IS was expected to be positive in direction and greater in magnitude than their correlations with other measures that do not assess Islamophobia. In addition, the IS was expected to correlate with conceptually related measures and not correlate with conceptually unrelated measures from related fields of psychology. — Sherman A. Lee, Chelsea A.
