Hegel’s philosophy becomes an event when taken to its speculative limit
Evidence
In what follows, at each moment of this triad, we will select and study a primordial modality of substance in its self-determination and its recurring negativity. By doing this, we set ourselves in opposition to any approach that believes it can discard the anthropological, theological and philosophical material whose novelty Hegel brings to light. For it is within this material that the unique perspective of a philosophy of the event can be uncovered. Further, if we take this thought to the limit, we offer Hegel’s philosophy the possibility of inscribing itself as an event. — Catherine Malabou, The Future of Hegel, 291
