Modern subjectivity is essentially a philosophical continuation of divine kenosis
Evidence
On this account it must be evident that the old opposition between faith and knowledge, when transposed into philosophy, continues and completes the significance of kenosis. From being an act of the divine, this becomes a philosophical process. The truth of kenosis is philosophically realized by subjectivity’s self-dispossession when it confronts the limits it cannot cross. Thus there is an essential and indissoluble rapport between the kenosis of the divine and the emptiness of the transcendental. Working his way from one emptiness to another, Hegel brings to light the essence of modern subjectivity as kenosis. — Catherine Malabou, The Future of Hegel, 807
