The same racecraft tools operate against every subordinated minority across centuries

Evidence

From this textual exercise, two things should be clear. First, the ideology of racism uses the same racecraft or tools against all subordinated minorities which then seem to be “naturally” at the bottom. Strategies such as generalizing from the particular to the whole, constructing essentialist attributes of an out-group member, resignifying terminology, ventriloquizing, and constructing mutual exclusivity have been used against non-white communities to vilify them for centuries. In these two cases, the discourse in the anti-sharia and anti-CRT panics find their antecedents in the legitimation of slavery and Jim Crow and the justifications for colonialism. In the present, we see the racecraft tailored to suit Muslims and primarily Blacks in these panics though they have been in use for centuries in different forms. — Cyra Akila Choudhury, Racecraft and Identity in the Emergence…, 455
