Solidarity arises in action as protests define distinct symbolic boundaries
Evidence
In examining emerging conļ¬icts for recognition in the platform economy, we have built upon the speciļ¬c perspective of social movement studies (della Porta and Diani 2020). In particular, we have addressed the question of how solidarity was created in action as different forms of protest connected with different deļ¬nitions of symbolic boundariesāin our cases either a speciļ¬c category of logistics workers or the broader āprecarious generation.ā ā Donatella della Porta et al., Mobilizing Against the Odds, 121
