Attention extraction operates at multiple scales demanding a many-zone coalition

Evidence

Human fracking is a systemic harm. It operates on multiple scales simultaneously. So it stands to reason that any resistance worth its salt will have to move nimbly from the realms of the intimate through the social, the intellectual, the political, the legal, and the technological, to the infrastructural—and back again. Each zone requires a different kind of activism. All of these ways of engaging the problem call on different skill sets and sensibilities. All of them are necessary. This is why we need all hands on deck: teachers and artists and builders and technologists and spiritual leaders and lawyers and parents and organizers and scholars and long-haul truckers and meditators and mediators and family and friends. Everybody—everybody!—has something to offer. — The Friends of Attention, Attensity!, 240
