Interaural time difference thresholds stay flat until 3–6 mm of electrode mismatch

Evidence

This is consistent with the previous finds that ITD JNDs do not change much until there is a 3–6 mm mismatch (van Hoesel and Clark 1997 ). β€” Dijk, Pim van, Physiology, Psychoacoustics and…, 1451

In general, clear monaural and binaural eABRs and BICs were obtained in most of the subjects. All but one subject showed nicely tuned pitch matching, IPTD sensitivity, and BIC as a function of electrode number. However, the pairing results were not always consistent across methods. The IPTD paring results of some subjects are spanned across several electrodes, which is consistent with the previous finds that ITD JNDs do not changed much until there is a 3–6 mm mismatch compared to the best matched place condition (van Hoesel and Clark 1997 ). β€” Dijk, Pim van, Physiology, Psychoacoustics and…, 1451
