Effective prevention requires coordinated interventions across multiple social levels

Evidence

Having an underlying model, such as this one, is helpful for at least two reasons. First, it provides an organizing framework for data surveillance: Data should be collected within each of these areas to identify modifiable factors at each level and relationships between levels that influence extremist violence. Second, a model provides guidance for prevention by acknowledging that efforts will likely be needed that expand across the levels of influence to create meaningful and sustained impact. — Ryan Andrew Brown, Todd C.
