Converted Moors ritually reversed Christian sacraments to remain Muslim

Evidence

After the baptism of their babies, they washed them in warm water to remove the sign of baptism and the holy oil, and they performed their own ceremony of circumcision, and gave their children Moorish names. Brides, who had been made by the priest to wear Christian bridal dresses to their [wedding] benediction in church, stripped them off when they got home, and dressed as Moorish women, and celebrated their weddings with Moorish musical instruments and Moorish food. — L.
