Both colonial and modern African scholars have irrationalized African womenâs philosophical standing
Evidence
Tracking the development of African philosophy from a feminist point of view reveals two waves of irrationality with regards to an understanding of the position and role of African women in primordial Africa. The ïŹrst wave is the irrationality of foregoing Eurocentric scholars, whose devaluation of the position and role of African women in society was based on both patriarchal and racial grounds. The second wave is that of some modern African scholars, who despite the current developments in the area of African philosophy, still conspire to refute the existence of a feminist philosophy, branding feminist epistemology a foreign import with no relevance to the lives of African people. â Frans Dokman, Beyond Bantu Philosophy_âŠ, 895
