Allport wrote prejudice theory from anti-Semitism and psychodynamic thinking

Evidence

Allport’s classic book The Nature of Prejudice was written in the shadow of the Second World War. As a result, his discussion of stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination was more likely to take anti-Semitism as its point of departure. In addition, he wrote at a time when psychoanalytic ideas had a very different status in mainstream social psychology than they do today. Allport took psychodynamic theorizing and its implications for understanding prejudice very seriously, and was especially intrigued with projection. — , Rudman, Laurie A - On the Nature of…, 2336
