Velvet Underground
The Velvet Underground was an American rock band formed in the 1960s, closely associated with artist Andy Warhol, who managed them and supported their creation. Known for their dark, avant-garde sound and lyrics, they were often at odds with the prevailing West Coast hippie aesthetic of the time.
