Club Massiac

A pro-slavery political club formed by planters and merchants (of colonial interests) during the French Revolution to defend colonial slavery, notably in opposition to the free-colored delegates advocating for rights in the colonies. It played a role in blocking petitions and suppressing abolitionist/revolutionary efforts among colonial delegations.
