Telecom device sound quality depends on network, room, and feedback conditions jointly
Evidence
The problem definition is quite broad, as three different aspects are to be measured. Also, telecommunication devices are used in various acoustic conditions, and the network connectivity for the devices affects the sound quality. Furthermore, interfering background noise, nearby sources, room acoustics, and acoustics in hands-free use may make the acoustic conditions challenging. The transmission of data over a network may also cause unpredictable delays, jitter, and occasional loss of data. In addition, the acoustic feedback from the receiver to the sender depends on the properties of the device, on the acoustic conditions on the receiver side, and also on the properties of the connection. β Ville Pulkki, Matti Karjalainen, Communication Acoustics- Anβ¦, 2440
