Photographic propaganda is a weapon in the contest over Kashmir
Evidence
Pictures are powerful. But in Kashmir, where land is sacred, pictures are terrain for propaganda wars. Disputed terrain where the images we see before us, more often than not, are not what they appear to be. These images and everything else, except those mountains, are vulnerable to being manipulated by that powerful foreign hand. A hand intent on capturing those mountains, and all that lives and dies between and beneath them. β Khaled A. Beydoun, The New Crusades_ Islamophobia and theβ¦, 502
