Philosophy of religion means applying reason, logic, and critical thinking to religion.
Evidence
The notion of philosophy of religion is found among ancient Greek philosophers as well as among Christian theologians and modern secular and atheist philosophers. It is not our goal here to discuss all the various forms of philosophy of religion. Our concern is rather to reflect on its fundamental dimension, i.e., reason. By philosophy of religion we mean the application of rational thinking to the religious and theological phenomenon, the analysis and evaluation of religion using logic and critical thinking. — Frans Dokman, Beyond Bantu Philosophy_…, 710
