Moral-disengagement literacy plus locus-tailored strategies can curb self-exonerative practices
Evidence
A public that is well versed in the various modes of moral disengagement can see through self-exonerative practices, making it harder for wrongdoers to apply them successfully. As this book demonstrates, strategies designed to curb disengagement of morality from harmful practices must be tailored to the locus at which moral control is disengaged. This is a fruitful avenue of future research. — Albert Bandura, Moral Disengagement, 2984
