Low-RWA teams responded calmly to ambiguous hostile moves

Evidence

In our first run of this experiment, in November 1987, the five Low RWA teams made a total of 14 threat points, on the average, over the course of an hour. Basically, they responded calmly to the ambiguous initial moves of the Warsaw Pact, and things stayed calm. — Bob Altemeyer, The Authoritarian Specter, 4137
