Islamophobia correlates positively with religiosity and negatively with openness
Evidence
As predicted, the correlation between the I-AB subscale and the I-CG subscale (r .66, p .001) was significantly stronger, t(246) 3.50, p . (see Steiger, 1980) than the correlations between the I-AB and the other instruments, including the next largest correlate, MR (r .49). Consistent with expectations related to construct validity, religion, MR, and RF were all positively correlated with the IS, whereas agreeableness and openness to experience were negatively correlated with the IS. — Sherman A.
