Islam was expelled from the Iberian Peninsula after 903 years
Evidence
The indefatigable Salazar was back in Madrid by early February, and on February 20, 1614, the Consejo de Estado advised the king that the Expulsion might be deemed to be complete. The king gave his approval. Although there crop up after this date cases of individuals, and even small groups, who were being accused such things as Islamic practices, there seems to be no reason to dispute the assessment of the council. The religion of Islam, brought to the Iberian Peninsula in 711, was driven out in 1614, 903 years later. — L. P. Harvey, Muslims in Spain, 1500 to 1614, 1539
