Islam in Iberia spanned 903 years, from 711 to 1614.
Evidence
The indefatigable Salazar was back in Madrid by early February, and on February 20, 1614, the Consejo de Estado advised the king that the Expulsion might be deemed to be complete. The king gave his approval. Although there crop up after this date cases of individuals, and even small groups, who were being accused such things as Islamic practices, there seems to be no reason to dispute the assessment of the council. The religion of Islam, brought to the Iberian Peninsula in 711, was driven out in 1614, 903 years later. β L. P. Harvey, Muslims in Spain, 1500 to 1614, 1539 (

The ο¬rst Muslims had arrived in the Iberian Peninsula in 711; the mass expulsion of all Muslims was decreed and carried out in the period 1609β14, nine centuries later. In this great ο¬nal displacement of population some 300,000 people were forced to leave their homes and were deported from Spain: some of them went out by road over the Pyrenees, but most left by sea. The diaspora left them scattered from the Atlantic seaboard of Morocco in the west to Ottoman Turkey in the east (and possibly beyond). β L. P. Harvey, Muslims in Spain, 1500 to 1614, 42 (
