High-RWA Russians favored their own nation more
Evidence
Now, to the point: did the more authoritarian Moscow State students favor the Soviet point of view more than their Low RWA classmates did? A net pro-USSR “image” score was calculated for each student by summing all the opinions about the Soviet Union (scored in the direction of a favorable opinion) and subtracting the corresponding sum for the items concerning the United States. In short, how favorable were they to the USSR, compared to the United States? The mean of this image score equaled 5.24 over the twelve items. RWA scores correlated . with the students’ tendency to view their country as good and America as American Universities. — Bob Altemeyer, The Authoritarian Specter, 1643
