Harvard’s Undergraduate Council unanimously condemned the university’s possession

Evidence

This was the beginning of my receiving an outpouring of support from Harvard students. Inspired, I reached out to Noah Harris, the first African American student to be elected president of Harvard’s Undergraduate Council. We connected in the fall of 2020. He explained that the members of the Undergraduate Council felt strongly that an action was warranted. Their first order of business was to pass a statement condemning the university for its possession of the daguerreotypes. The vote was unanimous! — Tamara Lanier, From These Roots, 1021
