Framing reparations as a slippery slope serves white supremacy.
Evidence
An additional collateral objection may be that once black Americans receive what they are owed, it would inevitably lead to demands for reparations for others. Perhaps we should be concerned about that before going down this slippery slope. If you find yourself in this rabbit hole, then you’ve fallen prey to the status quo that does everything to distract you from focusing on black loss and the perpetrators who caused the harm. Black people should be able to have a conversation focused solely on them without also having to address the concerns of everyone else. When racially subordinated groups are pitted against one another, there is only one winner: white supremacy. Of course those conversations are important to have, just not as part of a process designed to get redress for black injury. — Dorothy A. Brown, Getting to Reparations, 550
