Forcible conversion of Spanish Muslims occurred kingdom by kingdom from 1500 to 1526
Evidence
Forcible conversion of Muslims came at different times for the various kingdoms into which Spain in the sixteenth century was divided: first to suffer were the lands of the Crown of Castile in 1500–1502, then Navarre in 1515–16, and finally the lands of the Crown of Aragon (i.e., Catalonia, Aragon, and Valencia) in 1523–26. We will see that the historical circumstances were quite different in each case. — L. P. Harvey, Muslims in Spain, 1500 to 1614, 99
