Field acoustic arrays can be assembled as one tractor-towed cable package
Evidence
On a measurement day, all of the sensors were attached to a multichannel cable with buckets holding the digitizers, batteries, and power supplies for each sensor. Two of the microphones were also mounted on a steel rod 1 m long. The cable, sensors, and recording system were loaded onto a tractor for transportation to the measurement site (see Fig. 2). — Donald G. Albert, Michelle E. Swearingen, Frank E. Perron, and David L. - SHARE: Send to whoever builds DIY sensor rigs — a whole multichannel acquisition system strapped onto buckets and dragged by tractor is a pleasingly low-tech image.
