Even Icelanders were seized by corsairs and reported on them

Evidence

One of the most fascinating of these accounts was written by an Icelandic priest called Olufr Eigilsson, who with several hundred other captives was taken from Iceland. He was eventually redeemed, returned home and wrote about his experiences—a very interesting comment from the far end of the world about the corsairs and their behavior. — Bernard Lewis, From Babel to Dragomans, 749
