Circulation size, not being the New York Times, predicts news coverage differences.

Evidence

At the outset, we were interested in whether the New York Times would provide different news coverage before and after the Trump election. In a preliminary analysis we found that this variable was not significant in any of our models. Rather, circulation size, regardless of whether it was the New York Times or other papers, were more likely to be significant. Hence, we present our results with circulation size, leaving out the New York Times variable. — Emily Greene-Colozzi, Amy Adamczyk, and Senahan Kiyal Keles, Differences in Religious Framing of…, 58
