Canadian Hindu and Muslim samples scored more authoritarian and prejudiced than Jewish participants
Evidence
Compared with my usual, mostly Christian, parent samples, the Hindu participants proved rather authoritarian (175.2), about equally fundamentalist (84.5), and somewhat more hostile toward homosexuals (67.6). Jews in turn scored very low (110.8, 48.3, and 30.8) on all measures. The Muslim sample was also rather authoritarian (171.5), very fundamentalist (112.3), and very hostile toward homosexuals (75.5). — Bob Altemeyer, The Authoritarian Specter, 2173

- CANDY: Concrete mean scores across religious groups in one study—quick memorable numbers for a casual conversation.
- QUESTION: These are tiny non-representative Canadian samples; the politically loaded interpretations this invites need heavy caveating.
