A Chicago suburb changed zoning law to block five pending mosque applications
Evidence
In 2010, Muslims in Naperville, also a suburb of Chicago, were denied a permit by DuPage County to build a mosque in the neighborhood. The DuPage County board adjusted its zoning laws by unanimously voting that no new houses of worship could be built in the county. This law was passed after the board received five permit applications for the building of Islamic centers in the county (Goldsborough 2011). — Saher Selod, Forever Suspect_ Racialized…, 116
