The Assassins
A medieval Nizari Ismaili sect (also known as the Order of Assassins) active during the Crusades, known for covert political killings. Contrary to popular myth, they primarily targeted Sunni Muslim rulers and leaders rather than Crusaders, and called themselves fidaiyun, a term that their enemies coined.
