Social Democrats
Members or adherents of social democracy, a political ideology and movement that emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, seeking to achieve socialism or social reform through democratic, parliamentary, and evolutionary means rather than revolution. The term encompasses both the historical Marxist-inspired parties (such as those active before 1918) and later reformist movements that reconciled socialism with democratic constitutional governance.
