Prison Notebooks
The collection of notebooks written by the Italian Marxist philosopher Antonio Gramsci during his imprisonment under the fascist regime (1926-1937), in which he developed concepts such as cultural hegemony, the organic intellectual, and civil society. The claims describe it as a deliberate intellectual project undertaken during his imprisonment.
