Ottoman Empire
A major Turkic-led Islamic empire that existed from roughly the late 13th century to the early 20th century, centered in Anatolia and spanning southeastern Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa. It was notable for its long-lived dynastic rule, military expansion under figures such as Suleiman the Magnificent, and its role in sheltering religious refugees from Europe.
