Non-Aligned Movement
A Cold War-era political movement of countries that chose not to formally align with either the American-led Western bloc or the Soviet-led Eastern bloc. It created a “third” political space in world affairs and, in the early 1970s, shifted its emphasis toward economic concerns of the developing world.
