Latin Koran (1143)

The Latin translation of the Qur’an (Koran) produced in 1143, associated with Robert of Ketton and Peter the Venerable of Cluny. It was the first full translation of the Qur’an into a Western language and, though long influential, the claims note it ended rather than began serious Islamic study in Europe.
