Kabyle house

Referring to the traditional domestic architecture and social space of the Kabyle people of Algeria, as analyzed in Pierre Bourdieu’s ethnographic work. The concept encompasses how the Kabyle house embodies a particular ordering principle—attentiveness to force and operation through sympathy and homology—rather than arranging inert objects or establishing object-meaning relations.
