Hindu Code Bill
A set of proposed legislation in India intended to codify and reform Hindu personal law (covering marriage, divorce, inheritance, adoption, etc.), championed by B.R. Ambedkar in the early 1950s. Its prolonged delay and sabotage in Parliament led to Ambedkar’s resignation as Law Minister in 1951.
