German Turcica
A body of German-language literature, pamphlets, and writings about Turks/Ottomans (often pejorative or sensationalist) — the German analogue of “Turcica,” the category of European texts depicting Ottoman life. In these claims, it refers specifically to German works that manufactured lurid tales of Muslim/Ottoman sexual deviance.
