Fordism

The Fordist model (or “Fordism”) refers to a regime of mass production and consumption characterized by assembly-line manufacturing, standardized products, and economies of scale, typically associated with the mid-twentieth century. It is contrasted with post-Fordist flexible specialization that emerged after its collapse around the 1973 recession.
