Fatimids

The Fatimid dynasty/caliphate was a Shia Ismaili caliphate (909–1171 CE) that contested the legitimacy of the Abbasid caliphate and ruled over parts of North Africa, Egypt, and the Levant. Its revolution and court institutions, including its chancery and patronage of court poetry, are historical subjects discussed in these claims.
