Don Quixote

A novel by Miguel de Cervantes, published in two parts (1605 and 1615), widely regarded as a foundational work of Western literature and often considered the first modern novel. It tells the story of an aging gentleman who, inspired by chivalric romances, sets out as a knight-errant with his squire Sancho Panza, and it is noted for its satire, its treatment of delusion versus reality, and its sympathetic engagement with social and political themes.
