Constantine Plan

The Constantine Plan was a French economic development program initiated in 1958 by Charles de Gaulle’s government aimed at improving economic conditions in colonial Algeria, including creating jobs and redistributing land, before Algerian independence (1962). Its actual achievements fell far short of its ambitious job and land redistribution targets.
