Benjamin’s Passagen-Werk
The Passagen-Werk (Arcades Project) is Walter Benjamin’s unfinished magnum opus, a vast collection of notes and fragments about Parisian arcades in the nineteenth century. The work is structured around the idea of awakening from the collective dream-world of the nineteenth century into history and pursued contradictory research intentions simultaneously.
