Antilles Negro

A term referring to Black people from the Antilles (French Caribbean islands) as a social type, notably used in discussions of colonial-era racial dynamics where mastery of French language and culture was believed to “whiten” — i.e., elevate the social status of — Antillean Black people, even to the point of earning honorary white status or quasi-divine admiration upon returning from France.
