Whole nations have transformed from warlike to peaceful societies.
Evidence
The strongest evidence against an innate trait of aggression is the transformation of entire nations from warring societies to pacific ones. The Swiss once were the main suppliers of mercenary fighters in Europe. After they transformed into a pacific society, they still maintain a standing army but deploy it for peacekeeping and lifesaving missions (Swiss Armed Forces, n.d.). Perhaps the most familiar aspect of their more militant past is the colorful uniforms of the Swiss-born Vatican guards. — Albert Bandura, Moral Disengagement, 176
