White supremacist networks operate transnationally while promoting racial separation as their ethos.
Evidence
Picking up the point made by Deleuze and Guattari at the beginning of this chapter, these networks possess a supple segmentarity that combines recombinant, molecular qualities with lateral connection. They operate both through the boundaries of nation-states and national particularity, while at the same time these supple white rhizomes possess a series of discursive strands. First, this notion of whiteness promotes a racial lineage that is plotted through, and sustained by, cyberspace. This transnational technology, which in many respects has come to personify the permeability of human cultures, is used here to foster and articulate an ethos of racial separation. — David Theo Goldberg, John Solomos, A Companion to Racial and Ethnic Studies, 2576

- STORYSTEM: The ‘simulated racial homeland’ inside a permeable network is a strong image for speculative fiction about digital nations and territories without physical borders.
