US law criminalizes small aid to Gaza while taxing citizens to arm Israel
Evidence
I live in a city where, if after the Israelis massacre Palestinians by the hundreds and maim them for life by the thousands, a handful of souls dare to demonstrate in protest, the police attack them with mace tear gas sprays, charge at them on horseback, arrest and jail them. And yet in this same city, thousands of pro-Israeli demonstrators gather to cheer the Israeli army to kill more Palestinians, with the governor of the state and one of its senators joining in. … I live in a country where I dare not send a few hundred dollars to a charitable organization in Gaza to help care for people slaughtered by Israel for fear of being accused of aiding and abetting terrorism; yet in this very country billions of dollars of the tax money collected from citizens like me are sent on a regular basis to the supreme terrorist organization on the planet, which goes by the name “Israel”, to maim and murder my brothers and sisters in Palestine. — Hamid Dabashi, Brown Skin, White Masks, 650
